Louisiana’s overall unemployment rate remains stable and low; it has been near or slightly below 5% for the last year.6 In the state, a total of about 108,670 people were employed in the business and management sector in 2016.6 General and operations managers comprise the largest subgroup by far, with 28,050 employed, well ahead of business operations specialists at 18,100 and accountants and auditors at 10,380.6
